The submission needs to identify:

1. Why the candidate believes they should receive the AIP Scholarship in Packaging Technology.
2. Views of the candidates future in the packaging industry: where to from here.
3. Identify key issues in packaging design and how design can be improved.
4. Understand the fundamental roles of packaging.
5. Why the candidate believes that they might make a difference in the fi eld of packaging technology.
6. How the candidate believes that they might apply the knowledge gained from the Certificate in Packaging.

Other criteria required for all candidates:

1. The candidate must be registered in the CIA 2010 and meet eligibility criteria.
2. The candidate must label all pages with their CIA registration number only (no reference to name of University).
3. The candidate must be available for a selection interview with judges.
4. The candidate is to enrol in the Certifi cate in Packaging intake after receiving the official enrolment forms from the AIP and has up to eighteen  months to complete their studies.
5. The AIP and Cormack Packaging shall require half yearly reports on progress of the awardee.
6. The AIP and Cormack Innovation Awards shall be free to use the awardees photograph and approved biography for a period of up to 3 years for the purpose of publicising the scholarship.
7. The awardee will make themselves available for media and public relations opportunities to assist the promotion of the scholarship program.
8. The awardee will need to undertake, upon completion of their study, a presentation to both Cormack Packaging and the AIP.
